The good light's also amplify the mess. I should have done this years ago. Hydro subsidised new LED light's for the shop at work, and my bro gave me 3 of the fixture's. they are only 5 yrs old. I would have liked to get the LED's, but they're around $300.00 ea. I like free better. He even gave me a case of new bulb's. They have the cold weather ballast's and bulb's.
It looks like last night`s thunder storm and power outage did in my hard drive, find out tomorrow morning and if so time for a new desk top. I`m on a borrowed lap top which I really dislike using but at least I can get on here for a little while.
Morning fellas... Different strokes for different folks eh Gerry? I don't judge...
We had a rainy day yesterday. Got the company truck stuck a few times trying to dump a trailer load of clay. Ended up shoveling the trailer out cause the wet gumbo wouldn't dump. That was exciting.
Morris, we had t-storm warnings out too but nothing happened. I think they're on for today and tomorrow also.
Just about smoked another deer last night, this time in the shop truck, barely missed it. Literally 6" between its behind and the bumper. Have to thank Ford for the aluminum body and 700# weight reduction That, great brakes, and good reflexes saved the truck and the deer. My old boss from Calgary hit a deer on motorcycle (old boss was on motorcycle, not the deer) on Tuesday night/Wednesday am. He had his 18 year old daughter with him, she was killed and he isn't expected to pull through. That's the 2nd daughter that family has lost now. A few year back another daughter rear ended a swather header somewhere in south Sask and was killed. She was also 18 at the time Take care out there guys...
Hope everyone has a great day, another weekend nearly upon us...
Happy Thursday mornin'all. Sherm; Sad to hear about your ex boss and daughter. It started raining here yesterday at 3pm. I'm Painting the exterior foot board on my truck. (just below the firewall) Stipped, metal etched, primed, rock guarded and paint. It took forever for the prep due to the humidity. Started at 11am and put paint on at 10pm. Took a couple hrs off to fix my bro in laws lawnmower. I have to strip and repaint the frt windshield frame due to tarp damage over the winter. I will store my truck at work, in one of our storage trailer's. That way, in the winter, When I have time, I can work on it at work. Engine goes in on Saturday. I love the new light's in the garage. No more shadow's. No excuses for not getting anything done cause I can't see. Have a great day guy's.
Raining here, seems once it started it doesn`t want to quit but I`ll certainly take that over the draught we had.
Now my computer is fixed but only good enough to slowy limp along Gerry, it is very slow and frustrating so time for a new one tho I`m not looking forward to messing with Windows 8.
To dump a load of wet clay mist the floor of box with a diesel fuel tho it`s not enviromently friendly.
We didn`t have much of a t-storm but the power did go off and on a few times which caused my computer problems.
Sorry to hear about your old boss and his daughter Sherm, another reason I don`t feel safe on a motorcycle.
Hello everyone, good to hear you have your new lighting installed Grant and that the motor will be between the frame rails this weekend. I guess I'm at the point where it's time to dismantle this project of mine so I can start blasting the rust from the frame and get it painted and reassembled, clean and paint the motor and get some primer on the front sheet metal otherwise winter will be here and I'll be twiddling my thumbs.
