Good day folks, it`s windy but a lot nicer than yesterday.
QUOTE=56panelford;15283385]I just priced the fenders from the old car center, they want $600 a fender and $ 300 for the inners. I decided to modify the F-600 fenders I have along with the scrap F-100's. I will post some pics of the results when I'm done.[/QUOTE]
That`s still not bad compared to buying a fender for a new vehicle but it does add up. A friend of mine that`s working on my 56 M100 did the same for me, I had an F350 fender and a parts fender for an F/M100. Luckily I do have some inner fenders and as far as I can tell they are the same between the F100 and F350.
I have to order parts from Mid Fifties and the US/Canadian exchange does suck.
We have a coyote problem too Sherm, I chased one sitting just outside my yard the other nite with my Polaris. They seem to like the taste of my yard cats as much as foxes do. Thankfully my Shepherd is great at patrolling our farm yard alerting me to that coyote the other night.
I`ve heard that the Ford dealer in Yorkton is great, a friend that drove dodges before bought an F150 after moving to Yorkton because of the Ford dealer.
Happy belated 7th birthday to your daughter, time flies! Hope you survived the party.
I believe the only things different is the outer fenders and the front roll pan on the F600 is also a little taller so I need to make some mods to the lower sections of these fenders. I just about have one welded up now and will post a pic shortly.
I still have to finish the welding and do some work to the bottom edges where it meets the running boards and the front roll pan. Then it's onto the other side
Morning Gerry, and everyone!! Hope everyone had a great weekend and are all refreshed and ready for the week!!!
The birthday party was a success I guess. I escaped for most of it and went to the gym. I spent the last hour of the birthday party wishing I had spent more time at the gym I've learned that as a parent of a 7 year old, in a room of 12-7 year olds, you become another toy. Its nice to see every kid getting along though. At 7 years old there isn't the "clicks and clans" that you see forming as they grow older.
Morris, I've had thoughts about getting a larger dog to have outside as a "farm dog", but my wife and I agree that it would never be a "farm dog" I'm sure our boxer would give a healthy chase to a coyote, I just fear that the coyote tactics of luring and ambushing would be her demise.
Nice work on the welds there John!! What do you use for a welder?
