Mixed feelings

well, pulled the trigger Friday on a Mercedes Benz. Going to be my new daily driver April-November. Truck is going to be parked during those months and be my winter ride. I will definately still be on the boards year round though! Anyone have advice as to how I should prep her for storage? Man, I gave up smoking in two senses this week! Thanks for the help.

Brandon

I'll be over this weekend to pick it up. I can store it for you. It will be well taken care of!

No really I will take great care of it!

Change the oil if it has more than 1500 miles on it. fill the fuel tanks, add bio-cide to kill any algae, if outdoors wash and wax it. also put mouse/rat poision all around it to keep critters away.

Good luck on the quit smoking thing, well only half of it. The psd smoke urge will never go away. Glad to hear. Stick around please. Even though you don't drive it you can still work on it and mod it.

Hey this may be a good time to do the studs and cooler.

i drive a 2004 VW GTI as my DD but i never let my truck sit too long. i mean even if you drive it onces every couple of weeks it will keep her in shape. i have had MUCH better experience driving the truck VERY little rather than try and put it up for a few months.

do you have a choice?

I know how you feel Brandon. Only time I use mine now is when I'm pulling my trailer. I used to love to just drive it! Also quit smoking in '98 and know about that too. The best thing about dumping cigarettes was not the health thing. Even though that's a real good feeling, the surprise for me was the freedom I felt about not being addicted any more. When you smokin' you don't realize how much freedom you give up. I can go to a 3 hour movie and just enjoy it; I can go our for a good meal and savor the food and drink; and I can fly (my sister-in-law) back east and relax. I'm not counting the hours and minutes to the next smoke. It's really GREAT! Good Luck.
