Hey, I'm looking for a replacement HPOP for the friend I sold my previous OBS truck to. I can tell if it is an OBS HPOP, or a Superduty HPOP by the fittings. Is there a way to tell if it is an early 99 or late 99 and up? That is the one with the bigger swash plate (17* I think?). There are two listed on ebay as 98s, which is confusing because there were of course no 98 powerstrokes.
you cant really tell unless you take the back plate off..are you looking for a 17 or a 15?? my 15 is comming off soon and a 17 is going on...
i would say the pump on e-bay is a 15..if they read the door sticker it could be a early 99 witch has the 15 hpop..my truck was built 3/98 but its called the early 99....
Yeah, I wouldn't mind getting this guy a new one. But his budget is really tight and he's going to kill the batterys and starter with these long crank times. I'm watching one that is definitely a late 99 up, but I will keep you in mind. I'll know really soon, at least the next two weeks. I just need something that works now. Big injectors and 225k miles probably took it's toll on the oe one. Thanks!
