fuel pressure
What fuel pressure should i have when i turn my key on.....i only get about 8 to 10 lbs of pressure when i turn the key on....if i turn it on and off it will get to 30 to 40 but i was wondering what exactly it should be at when i turn the key on

I just checked my fuel pressure yesterday on a Mazda B2300. I had the Haynes manual as a reference. It calls for 35-45 with key on and not running and then 25-35 with the engine running. If you disconnect the vacuum hose to the fuel pressure regulator the pressure should go up to 35-45 and then drop back down when you hook the vacuum back up. I also revved my engine and watch the pressure increase as RPM increased then drop back to range at idle.
