ok i made a huge mistake, when i heard about the 6 link system i thought he said its excellent for off-road trucks, but what he said was on-road trucks only,so im going to notch the frame, and i just got 6 2in tubes from a guy so i have already started to bend and tack them together for a 3 link setup, and the other 1 will be used for lateral stability.my bad no wonder you guys thought i was crazy.anyone know where i can get used coil overs? or new ones for a good price?also im curious to find out why i could get 16-18 out of a deaver leaf pack and shackles for a ranger but not my f350?
f350s weigh a ton more so the springs have to be bigger naturally. to make a spring flex like they do for the ranger you would be on the edge of not even being able to hold the weight of the truck alone. rangers have a super light bed and rearend in them. so they can use a flexy spring. they even make fiberglass springs for ranger just to give you an idea of how light they are.

makes since. what if i made fiberglass bed and sides? would it then work or no. not saying im going to prolly a waste of money.
i think for the money you would spend making a leaf spring flexy enough and and still strong enough to hold the power of any decent motor you would have been better off 4 linkin the truck. youd prob have to run traction bars if you went that soft on the springs and by then your half way to a 4 link. not sayin it cant be done but cost effective and logical the 4 link wins everytime

yea like i said im tacking together the tubes for the 3link. but since gas is supose to be at 10 a gallon next summer i just might scrap the truck for money.and sell the links to someone else.
