Funny you say that. There's why I've always owned fords, dodge, and no chevy's. I hated the distro being behind the intake.

Yeah ford put a few if the dizzies behind as well. We had a 88 ranger with a 2.9 EFI once and it had the distributor hidden back there. The only way you could even find the hold down bolt was to squeeze in there, stretch your arm down the back as far as you could reach and try to find the bolt with your mangled finger tips. We still have the ranger, but the 2.9 is long gone, replaced with a 2.3L turbo diesel.
