PTO Pump Swap
I have a 1973 GMC 1 Ton dump truck that I got for a song, and I want to stick the dump bed and PTO pump on a slightly used 1987 F350 that I can get for not a lot of money.
My question is, near as I can tell, they both have a 6 bolt PTO. Am I correct in assuming this means the PTO off the old GMC would bolt on the side of the 4 Speed T18 in the Ford?

Not likely. While the 6 bolt pattern is common, there is a myriad of different gear options, including shaft rotation direction, helical direction, and number of teeth. You can still use your dump bed but you'll (probably) need to get a new PTO that fits the T18.
