OK, thanks.
So the removal of that check valve does not in any way create a long cranking time to start the engine.
No side effects at all?
Just want to make sure of this.
thats what we are all here for....let me get this strait because im going to be putting in a 17 pump sometime soon...you pulled the springs and popets out of the pump...all you put back in was the fitting????
also did you click on the ford link in my last post???
https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/5...-part-1-a.html step 26 shown by the member rubber duck. Good write up. I removed the springs and poppet and installed the fittings back in Ron, I don't have many miles on the van since I have done all of this, but seems to start the same. When I took the plug out from the top of the timing cover oil was 1/2 inch from top after sittinf for a couple of hours. Your ford link I did find and ordered er up thanks...
Ya haven't got to run the van to long to try it all out, did the idm mod today just letting the silicone dry. Hope to put it back together on the weekend. Still waiting on hood (had to hack a hole for the air filters had to add hood scoop). A friend of mine is painting it. The more I read the more stuff I do to it, so hopefully she will run soon (ha ha).
