Hey guys just did some installs on the old van. D66 turbo, ccv mod, late 99.5 hpop, ipr(removed springs),non ebpv pedistal and ebpv delete in exhaust outlet. Also changed intake to 4 inch aluminum and got rid of resignator box on intake. I have only ran van for ten miles, ran ruff at the start figured air in the oil. The question is when running ,motor sounds like before but when you step on it sounds like the injectors are hammering away. It is fairley loud (can hear it over the turbo) was courious if this is ok or maybe it will calm down after running it for awhile? I tried with the edge in and out, still the same noise...
Thanks
Hey man, nice to see you getting some stuff done to the van... Ive been wondering about it. Go drive around for about 50 miles or so. Any time you open up the high pressure oil system, air gets in there, and it usually takes 50miles, or 10 minutes at 3000 rpm to flush the air out. THen come back and see if it's still doing the same thing.

Right on, I can't believe how much I am on this site and how much I have learned. Pulled the idm out today and going to do the mod tomorrow.I also droped the tank and changed the fuel lines, would like to do the in tank mod but not sure if mine is the same as the trucks(big steel square tank). Also ordered a dp tuner (40,60 tow for propane and water, 40, 60 tow with no propane or water and a 80e) this is what he suggested. Jody was great to talk to and supper friendly (He is sure a busy guy, hard to get a hold of). So this should be in next week. I have found a downfall to this site though, getting lots of great ideas makes you spend a pile of money (ha).
I do not know about that, but most people use the steel line because it's naturally more durable. I don't know if anything is different on the Vans in that area which would pose a problem, however i think a braided stainless steel hose would work well for you that way you could route it around a few things that would happen to get in the way. ITP sells the hard steel one, i know that. I "think" Puredieselpower.com sells the hose version.

thats what we are all here for....let me get this strait because im going to be putting in a 17 pump sometime soon...you pulled the springs and popets out of the pump...all you put back in was the fitting????
also did you click on the ford link in my last post???
Joey at Terminator takes them out because each pump is only using one of the fittings, and with the volume of one pump passsing through one fittings (Which i dont really like that idea to begin with) it really creates a restriction, if there wasnt one before.
