First do a good tune up and go from there Sherm.
When I put the new Edelbrock carb on the 67 Fairlane it was idling quite rich but it may have been the plugs/wires/timing or other problems causing that. It did run fairly well.
Id probably swing past a shop, see if you can get some free hints from them about tuning your carb. Either that or just fiddle with it in little incriments till ya get er tweaked right.
i've done plugs, wires, rotor and dizzy cap... don't know what else to do for a tune up... ignition coil maybe?? someone was telling me there's interior accelerator pumps on the carb that can be tuned for performance. out of the box the carb runs awesome... but i want to be able to floor it off the line without stalling... have to do some research...
say, i've been trying all day to get a video uploaded but youtube is not cooperating...
