i started reading that thread from that other f150 site and i was actually getting angry for the first 2 pages. i started reading further and finally got a little settled.

so i guess its 50 dollars to do a custom tune huh? i think i can't do the trade in part because if edge gets the CARB EO approved, i'll need to show that if anything. so i will keep the edge and just get custom tunes from bill. but wow, 50 per tune. be nice 50 to do total reprogramming. i ****en hate how california is doing this ****. i am a cal resident and forever will be but dam, they are getting dumb on this carb stuff. the edge stays but edge tunes won't be in it.

is there a possibility there is a strictly HWY mileage tune cuz i do alot of highway?

I think Bill can do an economy tune, I only inquired about performance tunes. He can do what ever you want. The $100 I spent for 2 tunes will be recovered pretty quickly as I am now content to run the 87 Performance tune and it saves about $5 per fillup compared to the 93 I was buying. With the miles i drive, i fill up about every 5 days. That does not count trips. I will get my $100 back in about 6 months.

so did he just send u a cd in the mail and it reprogrammed your edge? and you just had to tell him how you wanted it and what stage you wanted it set to?

i'd like to have it set like this if i could,

stage 1 - Strictly Economy
stage 2 - tow
stage 3 - 87 octane high performance

i guess i'll be giving him a call tomorrow!

I called him and discussed what I wanted. Thought about it a couple of days, then called him back and told him I wanted to move the canned Edge level 2 program over to level 1, and I wanted his custom 87 and 93 tunes. I told him that I wanted it to downshift even at 70 mph when I got on it, for passing. I told him I liked very firm shifts. He emailed me a sheet that I filled out with all the facts about my truck and the specific items I wanted. I mailed that to him, he then emailed the tunes to me. I hooked my Edge to my computer, got him on the phone and he gave me a "key" that unlocked the files in the email. They loaded in the Edge, I went out, put the 93 tune in my PCM and I have been totally happy ever since.
