I just had to be impatient and do it myself before the kit came out to do the same thing for cheaper lol. Does it incude an LED for behind the heater/ac and the headlightlight/wiper light and the shift indicator light? Or is it just the gauge cluster? The site didn't say anything about those bulbs so I'm just wondering???

From the site Mike.

Brand new item on the market. This is a complete 12V LED lighting kit that replaces all of the lights in your instrument cluster with ultra bright LED bulbs. These LED bulbs produce up to 2 times more light than those incandescent bulbs used by the factory and those sold at your local parts store. These bulbs are direct replacements for the bulbs in your dash. No wiring or modifications are required to make them work! It is an easy as changing a light bulb (or several to be exact.)

Each kit includes detailed installation instructions with photos that help you properly disassemble your cluster and install this kit with ease. The kit includes all the LED bulbs required to change every bulb in your gauge cluster. This includes bulbs for the turn signals, warning lamps, etc., so you will be able to read all of your gauges and have a perfectly illuminated dash cluster. Because this kit includes bulbs for all the gauge cluster illumination lights as well as all of the warning lights, all of your bulbs get upgraded to these brighter and longer life bulbs at the same time. The instruction booklet also includes detailed gauge cluster circuit board schematics to show the circuits for all the lighting in your cluster, so you can even test the cluster with a 12V power supply before reinstalling it in your car.

How does it look? Well, just look at the photos. Notice how the gauges are clear and easy to read. You will also notice that this kit restores the original blue gauge color that was used by the factory. The blue illumination lenses in these old clusters have faded and discolored over the years causing the light to be dim and have an incorrect green tint. This kit will not only brighten the cluster and make the gauges easier to read, but it will also return the correct blue color that your dash had the day it left the factory.

The following image shows a 73-79 gauge cluster illuminated with one of these LED conversion kits. We have different kits with different part numbers for Trucks with Alt & Oil warning lamps and trucks with full gauges. Please make sure that you are looking at the correct kit before purchasing. We have both kits available for immediate purchase here on our web store. If you have questions, please ask before purchasing!

I just spoke (e-mail) to Bill at HiPoParts regarding changing the bulbs in my Autometer gauges to LED since I gutted my dash pod and did a gauge install. Super friendly and helpful and $2 a bulb to swap over. My spring upgrade .

I read that on the site and was curious as to wheter it includes the lights for just the gauges or does the kit come with the 1445 bulbs for the shift indicator and wiper/headlight switch? I read it and didn't see anything that stated this.

I would say no it doesn't Mike.

I would think it would include the heater panel light because that is a 194 bulb.

I'll pass this info along to Bill

Bill's reply:

Our kit is a cluster kit. It covers only the bulbs in the main gauge
cluster. All of the other bulbs are available separately and can be
added to any order. The heater used a BA9S bulb with the inverted
lens. The dash switches use the BA9S with the round lenses. We also
have lights for several other applications in the vehicle as well. I
am working on a chart for this vehicle to help determine every bulb in
a Ford truck and the corresponding part number in an LED bulb. With
the factory bulb number, I can tell you the correct part number in one
of our LED bulbs.

Thanks,

Bill

I can't seem to locate shipping and handling cost disclosure on the site without having to register and checkout. What are the shipping charges in the US?

There are a variety of shipping options listed. The cheapest being with a standard USPS rate of I think $5 or $6 or so for the bulb kit. I had included 4 other bulbs to see what it would cost (2 extra) for the heater/AC controls and for the dash switches and the total price came out to be $34.25. Those lights are going to make a world of difference.

Are the BA9S bulb similar or the same fit as a 1445 bulb?

I consider that a good and fair shipping price. Considering one gets the instruction sheet, this deal is a bargain.

I have to agree, I know of many places that charge rediculous amounts for the LED's and shipping. It seems these sets are at a pretty respectable price point.

Well, the first one to order and receive their kit should let us know their experiences and opinion. I plan to purchase the kit and I want the additional bulbs plus the needle paint.

Might as well go for the total restore while the cluster is out.
