Looking at a 1973 F600 dump truck 4 + 2 speed with engine missing in it my buddy said it had a 330 cubic engine what kind of engine would i be looking to buy to replace this engine thanks for all your help New dump truck guy
The 330 is in the same family (FE) as the 360 and 390 and the earlier 352's. As far as the big trucks I think you could also put 331, 361. I had a 352 in a '65 f-250 and bolted a 390 in place of it. My grand father had a F-700 with a 330 or 331 in it, My father said it was to most gutless motor he'd driven.
Tell tale signs of a FE:
1. Round Bell housing - No flat on top between bolts
2. Exhaust manifold bolt on top and bottom of ports - not sides
3. The Valve cover seals to both the head and the intake manifold
390 would be the best direct bolt in choice, I think.

It's been awhile since I played with the 360 or 390 motors, So if I am incorrect some body speak up. But That's what I think they are.
Close, the 352,360,390 are the FE series, and the 330 MD/HD, 359, 361 and 391 are the FT. You might want to go over to the FE and FT forum. https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/forum51/
