truck I.D help please.
i am looking to buy a dump truck. it is a 72 body on a 74 frame i think, i forget if its the other way around. but am trying to get info.
I am trying to find out of this truck is a salad of parts.
engine 360 or 390
4x4 dual rear wheel
manual tranny
its a f250 supposedly ,
Did ford ever make a duel rw 4x4 dump?
i will get and post pics saturday i am going to see it again. it runs great drives and dumps but has some things to fix, but not a rust bucket.
any info would be great. Will

where can i find the vin on the frame?

you might want to check fordification.com for the proper location depending on year but on the 70 I have it is on the passenger side top of the frame under the battery tray and also back towards the front cab mount.

This truck is a Frankenstein Monster, with parts swapped from gawd only knows what.
There were no DRW F250's until 1985, there were no F350 4WD's until 1979.
1953/98 F250's & 1967/98 F350's have 8 lug wheels on a 6.50" bolt circle.

Ford never made any dump trucks. People bought Cab & Chassis, then had the dump body installed by aftermarket body makers.
This truck is a Frankenstein Monster, with parts swapped from gawd only knows what.
There were no DRW F250's until 1985, there were no F350 4WD's until 1979.
1953/98 F250's & 1967/98 F350's have 8 lug wheels on a 6.50" bolt circle.
