check u-joints...it might be tight, but removed the drive shaft and see of the u-joints move smoothly. possibly a bent backing plate rubbing the rotor or rock inbetween rotor and backing plate?
It is probably the rear u-joint. I just changed the one on my 03 Screw. After dropping the driveshaft, you could feel it bind. After getting it out and removing the cups, you could see two of the ears on the joint had grooves on them. The grease cups were bad and they were dry. Mine would squeak at a low speed going forward. I replaced it with a greasable one.
If it is a squeak when you hit a bump or move the rear suspension, it is probably the leaf spring slides. On the end of a couple of the leaf springs you will see round plastic discs on the top sides of the springs. They wear out sometimes and need to be greased to get rid of the squeak. My 99 did that all the time.
mine had a squeak that drove me crazy when i would hit small bumps...turned out to be the tailgate latches...I thought it was driveline related until by accident one day I grabbed the tailgate and pulled on it and head the noise...
My 99 had the same leaf spring squeak. I would just jack it up (on the frame) and when the ends of the springs seperated I would clean them and grease them.

Same here when i hit a bump my tailgate would squeek...until i lubed up everything.
As mentioned by Dave I also have an 03 supercab and had a terible squeak when taking off. Even though the drive shaft was tight the U-joints were dry and were squeaking. I also replaced with a greasable u-joints front and back. I believe it was the back one that was squeaking.
it is the u joints, but im trying to take it off but its a little tough. do you have to take off the driveline with u joints all together or just pop the snap rings to get them off.
The drive shaft will need to be removed from the truck to replace the U-joints. Unbolt it at the rear axle, then when it is loose back there, pull the shaft out of the transmission. Mark everything before you take it out and put it all back with the marks lined up. Good luck!
