ive been trying to find out what this squeek is coming from on my `03 F150, i thought it may be my rear brake pads squeeking but with me kneeling near the truck and having someone pull forward slightly then press the brake it seems to be coming from the drive shaft area
Yeah i have the same problem except though its on my parents van 2004 Kia Sedona i know it aint a ford but oh well im pretty sure its the brakes (at least on my van) its an on off thing when you brake slow it does it and then when you slam hard on them they dont squeak we took it to the dealer and they said its fine and supposed to do it or something like that yeah im lost too im curious what causes this problem.
I have a squeak in my f250 but it is coming from the front axle seals.Ford has replaced them but after 400 miles the squeak is back. The squeak is not steady but only occasionally.Ford knows about this but doesn't have an answer. They said if they come up with a fix they will let me know.
I have an 01 SCrew that had the same "squeak" you describe. Does the frequency of the squeak change with vehicle speed? I pulled my driveshaft and found the ujoints all dried up and so replaced them. Squeak is gone.
