Man, save yourself a lot of heart ache and do some reading in here. These guys are not trying to sell you BS. These guys have tried everything out on the market and look at 90% of the sigs, you will see DP-TUNER. You can do it once, or you can do it twice, your choice.

your buddy can get you the Edge for $200 because he probably is going to sell you his so that he can get a DP or a Tony Woldman set-up. Thats because he learned the lesson and knows that that Edge ain't what it's cracked up to be.

Like Rick said, (I say that a lot lately ) save yourself some trouble and do some reading around here. It will save you a lot of time and money.

I kind of figured you had a K&N, but wasn't going say anything, K&N are great for a gasser with now turbo, but in turbo vehicle they let dust go into the turbo, and either chip the wheel or take the turbo out completely which is big $$$$. Get rid of the K&N and to the 6637 mod save yourself a lot of heart ache and hard earned cash, do a search in the 7.3 forum for and K&N, I only know one guy who likes them, but he hasn't had to replace his turbo yet. As for the DP we say because its the best, $200 for an edge is a good deal, but you will be much happier with a DP, plus I believe edge tuner have been known to take out the head gaskets, but maybe thats only in the 6.0L. When I did my staright piped my stock exhaust the only reason is was cheap, is the guy is good friend, and he has PSD as well so we do mods together and share tips, plus I have been going there for exhaust since I could drive. The only thing your going to have to pay extra for is guages, which aren't too bad, I realize the edge has them built in but I think you will be a lot happier with the DP. I don't have one yet a little low on $$$ and I have some support mods to do yet. I have a couple of friends that have them though, they all bought something else first and after reading in this forum one of them decided he would change just to see the difference, now they all have DP tuners.

Ok since I seem to be getting the treatment I will explain my logic.
First, let me start out by saying there is always some idiot out there that will always buy an Edge. I think if the Edge is $200 now he could probably buy it for $175 (THAT IS CHEAP!!!) Even if it is the Evo it is cheap.
Second, this is not my long term solution. My long term is the DP tuner. Sell the Edge for a break even price or even a loss and you had added power for a year(?) and it didn't cost you much or anything.

Scenario One
Edge Juice w Att Mon $175
Muffler Delete $50 (I think the cheapest I found was $75)
NAPA 6637 $40 (He doesn't sound like the kind of guy who likes to wait )
Out the door for $265

Scenario Two
DP Tuner $240+10 (200 for tuner, 40 for F5, 10 S&H, And just the free tunes that come with it. Each additional is $45 or so)
Gauges $300 (I have seen cheaper, but I hear they are not worth buying)
Muffler Delete $50
NAPA 6637 $40
Out the door for $640

That is a difference of $375. That will buy like...3 tanks of fuel!!! (note heavy sarcasim) Look at my sig. I have a DP tuner and wouldn't switch it for ANYTHING!!! In addition, do not take this as an attempt to dis DP or take business away from DP. It is just working a calculator and getting him the most bang for his buck. Like I said, long term he will be able to break even on the Edge and upgrade to the DP Tuner.

Thank you for your time

Or option 3:
Muffler delete ($50)
Napa 6637 ($50)
Save: $175 for DP Tuner

mine do, then they shake their fist or give me the bird for waking them up at 4am, I figure it's just repayment for all the beer bottles and cans I had to clean out of the yard because of there two kid's wild parties.

Or option four...
Keep that Att mon for it's crappy gauges and save yourself 300-175=125 on gauges.
I don't like this option, but it is an option.

I would never use my option except for the fact that I think he could "own it for free" at that price.

well i am a guy who doesn't mind to wait ha ha ive waited on this very 250 for over 4 months because i knew its what i wanted.. i would love to have the DP but as someone else said on top of the 200 or so for it im lookin at gauges on top of that.. i figure i could run the edge for a few years and not hurt nothin.. right? and when i got more money in the wallet i can get a more "updated" DP with exactly what i want 40,80, high idle, etc. Im really surprised about the k&n statements the 6637 sounds like a good way outa slow boiling water(the way folks talk)
