Muffler Delete Pipes

As an extension to my earlier "Who has straight piped their exhaust" thread, here's a question about the muffler delete pipe......

What did you use? I saw one of the site sponsors offered 4" delete pipes, though I have not seen a 3 1/2 delete pipe. Have you guys used the 4" pipe, and just had it welded to the rest of your system?

well before I put on my MBRP 4", I the owner before me had deleted the cat and muffler and used flex pipe. it was metal, and did the job, but I would not suggest if for long term. just my thoughts. it did make it louder if that is what your looking for.

I went to the local muffler shop, I gave them the dimensions I needed (4" exhaust) and they cut me a piece and didn't even charge for it, although I cant remember how long it was....ill measure it if you want. Then I just welded it in place:

Absolutely no pun intended, but your shaft still freaks me out.

Agreed, almost makes me want to run out and look at mine, but I'm not going to. What is going on there? Not what I can recall under mine.

Well mine is a F250 and the shaft doesn't look like that, it's like someone put it in there backwards first off.
