Did anyone else get this tune that has any feed back on it? I am about ready to send by chip back and was thinking of getting two more tunes added to it. One would be a custom tow tune, the other would be a decel tune.
I have it. I got it at Smokin' a few weeks ago and I love it. I put it in position just below my 60T tune. I have used it loaded with the horse trailer and unloaded. If you have enough lead time to engage it, it works very well. It does take about 2 maybe 3 seconds for the ebpv to shut and then it sounds really good, but even before the ebpv engages, the torque converter locks and the defueling happens so it starts to decelerate the truck pretty quick. I haven't had a huge load, maybe 6-7K pounds at most. It works pretty good on that amount of load.
I got it from Dp awhile back and loved with 6 spd was great. I towed alot with it and it sounded great also. Make sure to get it loaded next to your tow tune. Well worth money!
Glad to see it worked well for you Jason, I was really impressed with it when you hit it just going down the hill empty. I am adding it on mine when I reflash it.

On the decel program did you get is setup to hold one gear, say like 3rd, or have it down shift through out. If down shift through out, how does everything behave? hold the tc locked the whole time while it down shifts, etc?
Mine is setup to downshift through the gears and then it stops all noticable function below 25 mph.
IT WORKS GREAT! To all who tow, get it. There is no reason not to.
To the morons who say, "I don't want to have to switch back and forth, I will do a switch for the ebpv." I say, you do know you have to do the tc lockup if you want it to actually work??? There is one more rigged up switch. In addition, you have to switch those switches (twice as many...) every time you want to stop. Finally, IIUC Jody can rig it up to decel every time you let off the fuel like a Jake brake. But if you think about it, you can turn a Jake brake on and off wouldn't you want to be able to turn it off...especially down a long grade???
One last thought. IIRC, the tune also changes tranny shifts and line pressures in addition to TC, EBPV, and defueling.
Sweet good to hear. I actually talked to Jody this morning about it. Sent my chip back today to get the new tunes loaded in. I went with the generic downshifting through the gears for the decel, as well as adding a modified 60 tow to lock the tc at 25mph under light throttle.
