DP decel tune !
Soooo I hit the decel tonight coming down a hill. (didn't feel like moving my foot to the brake) and I noticed the engine light came on while it was in decel and then went out when I switched it back out..... I haven't noticed this before, but it did it everytime tonight !
Does anyone that has the decel know if this is normal ?????? I would assume it is, but wanted to ask you guys !!

Could be the EBP sensor throwing a code due to the EBPV closing and causing higher than normal back pressure. Have checked for codes? I have gotten one before for high back pressure during WOT acceleration.

Don't have a way of checking codes.... wish I did ! Do you think if my tube is clogged with soot the decel tune would work at all ??? I have never cleaned my tube before ! I need too ! The tune works great how it is and the light goes out right away !

I was thinking more in line with the EBPV not opening quick enough and causing the higher back pressure. Weak spring or oil pressure not bleeding off fast enough from behind the apply piston.

Hey guys.. Just got home from fishin..... The truck was fine today.. no light when in decel.... It was kind of weird last night.... only saw the engine light on when it was in decel.. but I got on the throttle fairly good a few minutes before... Could this have something to do with it ???? Maybe ??? I don't think it's the fault of the decel tune itself !

Coincidental most likely. I would have that code pulled just to be sure. It could be something unrelated. It could have nothig to do with the EBPV.

Thanks Diane... I will see if I can get someone to pull the code if it even stayed in there.. I haven't seen it since... So, I'm not overly concerned about it. Tell Jody I'm very happy with the tuner and thank him very much for the help !!!!!
