Guys I would like to buy athe Mag-Hytec Front Diff cover for my 2005 Super Duty, I already have the rear. Question is that I heard that it has clearance issues? Is this true? I dont want to buy it and then ending up sending it back.
Thanks ~Gage~
Thanks rotun, I just dont know why they would make the cover when it doesnt fit?
~Gage~
Probably because it fits more than just a superduty. So they give you the option, and from what I can tell the solution I would do is grind some of the cover fins to clear whatever hits. Others want to bend or relocate suspension parts but I wouldn't really want to do that.
I agree about grinding it down, I'll have to find someone that has it and look to see if that would work without taking too much of it down. I don't think they list them as specifically for the Super Duty but as for the axle type.
I don't know about the '05 but it fit fine on my '03. One of the bolts is different on the stock cover due to a clearance issue between the bolt head and the spring bracket(IIRC). The M-H uses all SS Allen head hardware so no issues there.
