ccv???

i have a early 1999 f250 and my crankcase vent goes directly into the intake housing. in every picture that i have seem the tube vents out the back of the crank, so if i remove what i think is the vent i will have a hole in my intake tube. so i guess do i need to turn that cover around and plug the hole in the intake tube to do the ccv. my turbo tubes leading to the intercooler are leaking oil on the driveway.
Thanks
Lloyd

Check around the muffler shops.. they should have a piece of 4" OD stainless steel. Make it the same length as the stock plastic tube.

PVC is usually measured *ID*. What does fit is a 3" coupler which is 4" *OD*. But it is a bit more restrictive than the SS pipe. It does work though -- I've been running the PVC coupler for many months. Mine will get changed to SS shortly. I have a piece sitting here that I haven't gotten around to cutting to fit...

Others have used PVC. Should be just fine. I personally justed plugged the old CCV hole with a nylon insert and an epoxy mastic. Reusing that stock piece made for a perfect fit for the AIS intake.

It doesnt have to be stainless -A lot of the guys on here use pvc pipe. ID will be a little smaller than the ss pipe.

I found it easier just to put a rubber cap and hose clamp on the hole in the intake, instead using a piece of 4" tubing.

3/4" and if you are going to reverse the dog house be careful. There are to o-rings between it and the valve cover. They will most likely have to be replaced.
