Tony Wildman??

Has anyone worked with Tony Wildman and what are your thoughts about his chips and the service he provides?

I'm curious what others experiences are. I'll withhold my comments to see what others have to say.

I met him in person here just last week. Seemed like a good fella to me. I already committed to DP because I was in FL the first five months I got my truck, but had I been here, I probably would've went with him. I've ridden in a truck with his tunes and they definitely get the job done!! For me, it would've been great -- he's local and does great work from what I can tell.

From the tone of your post, I sense you have issues with him??

Here's what I posted about a month ago on a similar thread......

Anyhow, I'm runnin T Wildmans Tunes for about 2 year now. Before the single shots I was runnin 310 hp on the dyno and the stock splits with the van turbo. Now with the 175/146 single shots & Tony's tunes I should be around 365-375 hp, maybee more - who knows. I was fortunate to live about an hour away from Tony and anytime I needed a fix I could run up and he would hook me up. Having him & Jon Faubion help me spend my $ has been a blast. Tony has the tunes and both him and Jon have chip burners so I never have to send it out in the mail. Never thought moving to Oklahoma would have such great benefits! But you need to have fast truck out here to run from the tornados.

I know he does alot of tunning for the folks in NTPSA (Noth Tex Power Stroke), SLAPS (ST Lious are Power strokes), and the rockin club out in the Rockies, PSN & TDS. Luke Cline on this site is running about 600 hp or so with Tony's tunes and some help with nitrous. I should post a video of Tony & Luke & Rusty wippin' my but at the track at Noble, OK. Like said above there are some great tuners out there and each has there following.

Tunes are great and here are some links from a year ago.......

Here's the FTE thread from last week after a day in Fort Worth at one of Tony's tune days.......

I hear he is super cool and good to work with. He doesn't charge to reburn a chip if you change your mods and DP does. There is something to that.
I am in Wisky and neither one is close. I piced DP bc I called TW twice and he didn't get back with me...ever. Jody called back after two days I guess it is a good thing sort of to be too busy to get to calling all the guys who call you. Also, at least he called himself.

That is huge. Given the great reputation TW has for his tunes.

Does he offer the same or close to the same programs as Jody ? Also how about his pricing and the program selector compared to Jody's ?

the prices are within pennies of each other, the tunes are basicly the same, its a toss up between the two. the tw cihp comes with a turn styled **** for changing tunes

Well what I was looking for from Jody was a 60T, 80E, 140 smoke for play and a high idle. Could the F5 switch be adapted and used on Tony's chip?

That's my problem, I was just curious if others had that issue. I've gotten a hold of him once out of at least 8+ times I've called him. Left numerous messages and I think I got one call back to voicemail. Emailing him is hit-or-miss, sometimes he'll reply, sometimes he doesn't.

When I did talk to him, he was great to work with. I put single shot injectors in my truck and he reburned my chip to run them as well as improve the settings. Two of the four settings weren't working (assuming due to the PCM), but the 125hp setting just rocked the truck, I was extremely impressed. I purchased a newer PCM and just sent the chip back to him for a reburn and can't even get a hold of him to see if he received it.

Having the reburns done for free is great. But his communication is breaking the deal for me. I'm half-way tempted to cut my losses and give DP a call and see what they can do.

hhmmm... Sorry to hear that. I just sent mine to Jody after calling him at 9:00am and getting a callback at 2:30 or so. One thing I *can* vouch for is that either Diane or Jody calls you back. I've always gotten voice mail when I called, but always got a call back the same day. Not trying to sway you one way or the other, but I'll pass along my experience with DP.

I like the idea of the turn-style **** for the tunes......has anybody ever done a comparison on here between DP and Wildman tunes? Hmm.....maybe that deserves a new thread!

Well maybe this year at Smokin in the Smokies or other events people with the same mods could do a dyno comparison between two.

To compare fairly, it would have to be compared on the same truck. And on top of that, what do you compare? The two 140 tunes? The two 100 tunes? I mean, if they both give you 140 or 100 respectively (if your truck can support them!!), then what's the difference? I would wager to say some other things like economy, shifting, etc. are the difference. THAT'S what I'd be interested in seeing. I *KNOW* Wildman's tunes are good -- I rode in White Buffalo's truck. It absolutely hauls azz....

I was thinking a same level tune say a 80 HP tune compared on a stock truck, though their is alot a variables in that. There are more variables like you said Joe, though the free reburns are a big perk for Tony. After riding in Rich's truck I am sure your case of PMS got alot worse .
