TW doesn't put HP numbers on his tunes like DP does, he names them for what you want to do with them. Tunes are specific to the truck, mods, and driving needs. I've got stock, high idle, heavy tow, light tow, empty runaround, and stupid. I use the empty runaround unless I'm towing or being stupid. Stupid smokes like a train and will peg your boost guage. When I was researching them, DP and TW are definately tops, with consensus being DP had a slight edge on the super duties, and TW was the best on OBS.
I have a 6 pos. TW and LOVE ity. You would probably be happy with a 4 pos from TW. I have a couple of tunes I really don't need. I also have the economy and I notice a little bit of better mileage but I only run it on trips. I like the power around town. I had mine burnt for II's and still have stock sticks. The BIG HP setting smokes alot but since I still have stock sticks it runs out of fuel easy.
so you got it burned for stage 2's. hmmm, it runs good with no issues like that? how is your fuel economy with the different programming with stock sticks? and since you have the economy tune is it really worth getting or just run in the street tune instead?
cOOn, I talk (e-mail) with TW and I told him that in the future I would like to get a Stage 1, but since I live out of USA is very difficult to send the chip for reburns, and he told me that he can burn for Stage 1 (I dont know if is the same for stage 2) with my stock injectors with not any problem. I hope this helps you.
it definatly does, i am going to get injectors at some point in time, probably later than sooner but i would rather have the tunes ready now if that wont affect anything else.
i am also considering stage 1's instead of 2's now after hearing about the huge boost numbers stage 2's put out.
