to chip or not

will i benefit from swapping out my superchip for a tw or dp chip? i am asking as a direct swap with no other mods on the truck. is it really going to make that big a difference to justify the money spent?
also, if i swap it out then i change injectors and fuel pumps down the road wont i have to pull the chip and reprogram it?

3rd, how good are the TS chips. i am seeing them advertised as a 6 position for 350 bucks. max tunes of 140 horse

I have never heard of a single person going from XYZ chip to a DP or TW chip say they wish they had not. NOT A SINGLE ONE!! Most ask why they waited so long!! One of these days I will be one who says why did I wait so long!

Yes you will have to change programming for larger injectors but on a superchip thats not even an option. For a fuel pump no programming changes needed. I don't know for sure but I think TW reburns for free, DP may as well but you would have to talk to them about that.

I don't know. With DP's F5 chip you have room to grow if you ever want more programs. Can't really see much need for more than 6 programs but I am sure there would be some use for more!

6 is more than enough for me, i would be happy with 4, but i am comparing the dp, tw and ts, i will be getting on eof those 3, however i am only finding the ts at the cheapest prices, i just found this store on ebay selling ts's for 275

Even those going from TS to TW or DP have wished they'ed done it soon. If you looking for cheap watch for a used TS chip and TW will reprogram it for $150. I am trying to get clarification from him if that is 6 pos.

there is a used ts for 99 bucks, but i would prefer new if buying from an unknown source, so i guess i am narrowed down to tw or dp for my truck? which is better for the old body style trucks?

I tried my friends edge in my truck, and went from that race tune to my TS chip, Big difference in SOP feel. Didn't have it dynoed so I can't tell you if there was an actual difference. This spring going to sent it out to TW for a re-burn. I know that Jody at DP tuner is coming out with some pretty wild tuned. I can give you more info on that later, my friend's dealing with Jody right now on his 99. BUT he also did stage 2's and a D66 at the same time, so it was going to be wild anyways.

I like the **** my TS came with (same as TW) but the DP one is alot smaller that it looks on the site, my friend mounted it up and it maybe 1"X1-3/4" if that. it actually looks kinda cool. I'll see if i can get some pics from him

Both TW and DP are forever changing their tunes. PMS is alive and well.

Robb,
I have the edge currently and was looking for the chip also. Was there really a kick in the pants difference or was it more of a pedal doesnt have to be pushed as far as it used to deal. Thats what concerns me. How do they get that much more performance over another brand on stock sticks and no big oil??? I thought that the edge put it very close to the limit???
