I went from a Superchips programmer to a TW years ago. I started out with a budget single position TW chip. The difference was remarkable. Then when I upgraded my injectors I traded the single in towards a 4 position TW chip. Hes great to deal with too. You can call him up and pick his brain about programming. Then if you get it and dont like something he'll re-burn it for nothing.
Robb,
I have the edge currently and was looking for the chip also. Was there really a kick in the pants difference or was it more of a pedal doesnt have to be pushed as far as it used to deal. Thats what concerns me. How do they get that much more performance over another brand on stock sticks and no big oil??? I thought that the edge put it very close to the limit???
For me, there was a real big kick in the pants difference. From what I read, the tuner can only go so far programing into the computer. The chip over-rides all 4 pages of the PCM with its programing. I wish there was someone on here who know what the actual differences were between a tuner and chip on a progmaning basis. BUT if you asking if I felt a difference then YES Hope this helps
c00n, This isn't the one form my buddies truck, but here is one i found over on ford-trucks.com. This pic maks it seem bigger than it is too. It's a pretty small switch.
