how restricted are the cats on these trucks im looking at a magnaflow high flow cat for $90 is it worth the money or no i have to have a cat and dont want to gut mine
I have a 95 F250 2wd with a 460. I had the muffler removed last year and a 3" exhaust run out the back from the factory 55 gallon drum cat, without a muffler. I did notice a bit of an increase of power, and if I'm careful with the throttle, the wife won't yell at me too bad when I'm trying to pull a hill with the 5th wheel on board. I was thinking about going with the straight pipe in the palce of the Cat and going with some kind of muffler because straight pipes would probably get me on the couch. Anybody try this and what about the 02 sensor?
I bought a CAtco for 50 shipped on ebay. I ran the truck with now cat and then with the high flow and the difference is very little. Plus you wont have to smell the stinky exhaust and you will kill a few less birds.

You can buy the 02 bung and weld it into the peice of pipe thats at the location of the old one. On my F350 this was where the stock one was at. The stock one was inbetween the 2 pipes stock, and now I just have it in 1 of the pipes. It was way easier that way.
