Not to hijack, but I have the same spewing oil problem. I do know that its not from the rear of the engine. It leaks right on top of the front axle. I sat letting the engine warm up the other day and when I came back I noticed a huge puddle. But I can't find any where that the oil is coming from. I do know that it is coming from the drivers side. Other than that I know nothing else.

I have always diagnosed oil leaks on this truck by laying on top of the engine and cleaning the valley with a rag and some brake cleaner. Then I would run the truck as long as it would take to replicate the leak to see exactly where it was coming from. Then make necessary repairs after you get an idea of what needs to be fixed. Sometimes cleaning the valley can take alot of rags if you ahve a ton of oil oeddling there but you have to start somewhere.
Just an update to tie up this thread. Replaced the turbo pedastal and put in the EBPV
delete this weekend. All went well. No leaks. Thanks again to all who contributed. I do have a small slice in the Blue, hot side intercooler boot. What havepeople done to replace those? The dealer get $40 for a stock one
Thanks Ray. That is also what my searching seemed to come up with also. I checked with NAPA first when I found the problem but they only sell some kind of tubing in a
3-4 foot chunk. I do not know if it would even hold up. I remember reading in the past about people using boots from a marine application but I could not locate the specifics.
Taking my time and with a buddy helping it only took about 4 1/2 hours. All went
really well. No broken or stripped bolts. Always good. Boy am I sore though! I have
to give a nod to PB Blaster. Wow, that stuff is awesome!
Pat, Thank you for asking and for the input on the boots.
