^^ 351's and 360's were used in cars at one time or another.
I use an International 444 tractor every once and awhile. It's a hoss. lol
352's were used in galaxies before the 390, but I don't think a 360 ever made it into a car ford did have industrial versions of many engines ie 360 industrial was a 361, a 390 was a 391...but please if anyone knows of a car with a 360...post it
well guys my best friend just got his liscence and were were at a party and couldnt help but listen to him brag about his 2000 chevy 5.7 4x4 that his daddy just bought for him for 6000 dollars and i got tired of listening to his crap so i asked him if he would hook up to my 300 which he has no respect for cuz it only has 6 cylinders so we hooked up and i dragged his *** all the way down the driveway and embarrased him but i was just curious if any of you guys have any cool stories about your 300 takin a bigger motor and if the newer 5.7 is a better engine than the older 350
My first ford was a 94 1/2 ton with a 300 six 5speed, 2wd, my dad has a 93 300 5spd 4wd. My 1/2 would pull nearly anything. I had a load of busted out sidewalk on it one day, weighed close to 1 and 1/2 tons. I was keeping up with traffic in town, but after 65mph it got a little scarry. I tore that pickup to crap, but the engine was strong. I put on 3 clutch master cylinders, 1 slave cylinder, 2 clutches, 1 transmission, alternator, starter, battery, rotors, plugs, wires, cap, rotor and about anything else you could think of in the 25,000 miles I put on it. But when it ran...it ran like hell.
...I've got a 460 4wd now, and no one wants to mess with me. But you don't get the satisfaction of whooping up on a small block chevy or likewise like I did with that 300.
I don't now dad has 220,000 on his, all highway....except when I would drive it when mine was busted down. He hardly put a dime into his, at 190,000 he broke a spring off the original pressure plate and we had to drop the trans. That was about the biggest thing that happened to his. I think i just got a lemon. Mine had 116,000 when I sold it.
