I have to go so college on saterday and need to adjust the timing on my 71 model 460. I got the dizzy loose but the only mark i can find to set timing to is on the waterpump down by the balancer. The mark is what seems to be an N. It is on the right side of the engine angled towards the balancer. There is no metal strip with teeth and numbers like most motors ive seen. If any body knows what this means and how to use it please help!!!!
Thanks

We figured the N was just a mark on the waterpump and not for timing. So we played it by ear and will see if we did it right on the way to school.

Your timing tab (over the crank dampner) should be on the left side (as you face the vehicle), Get under the vehicle with a light and wire brush the dampner to find the timing marks. 8 to 10 degree's is about right I think.
