After I started my X to leave work yesterday, the check engine light came on with codes p0672, 4, 6, and 8 suggesting that a whole bank of glow plugs failed on me. I did a search and found a couple of things, but i'm not sure which approach to take first. From what I read it could be any of the following:
1. A bad GPR
2. Bad GPCM
3. The UVC harness
The question here is what do I really need? (a gpr, gpcm, etc) I'm starting to think it's my GPR because I do remember seeing some corrosion on it, but cleaned it off and never worried about it again. Is there a way to test my GPR and/or figure out whether I need to pull the valvecovers? (i.e process of elimination)
being an X it should have a gpcm. with a whole bank triggering i would not think all 4 plugs died at once but either that bank on the gpcm died or the harness for that side came unplugged at the gpcm.
That I am not sure of right now. I came across this possible solution when I was looking through the manual. I am looking for the wiring diagram. As soon as I find it I will let you know. These came with quite a few of the fusible links scattered thought out the wiring harness.

All I can find out is ,out of the manual, "The wiring harness to the glow plugs circuit incorporates two replaceable fusible links, one for each glow plug bank" The wiring diagrams that I have got show no reference to these. They show the connectors but nothing else. Closest I could come was in the PIA harness. Wish I could be of more help.
