Is there a bracket to firmly secure the heater plug?
I have a 2006 Ford F-250 6.0 Turbodiesel and I love it. I live near the Cascades in Oregon and it gets cold here at night. I finally found the plug on the passenger side and have been plugging it in nightly and it helps with starts and keeps the engine from running roughshod at the beginning. My question is, is there a bracket that I can install in that right side bumper space that I can firmly attach the plug into? It is a drag searching for the plug inside the bumper when it is raining outside and would I'd like to just be able to plug it into a hard connection each night. Looking forward to any feedback. Oh, BTW, I have toe hooks in those bumper spaces.
Thanks so much for the link. Looks like a very viable solution. May I ask if you have one installed and where you placed it? Drilling a hole through a steel bumper is a chore.

Thanks again
Haganah.
I just loop mine on the tow hook so the plug is inside the hook. No digging needed

I bought one but never got around to installing it..LOL
I wanted to mount it on the driver side and the cord doesn't reach..
I thought of adding and extension, but never did it..
What I would do if you don't want to drill through the bumper is mount a metal bracket below the bumper and mount it to that like the trailer hitch plug in the back.

Mine is right beside the tow hook on the passenger side. Drilling was really fairly straight forward, buy a good hole saw for correct size. I used a Lenox brand for drilling metal from Lowes.
Can anyone confirm that all 6.0 trucks come with the element
Can anyone confirm that all 6.0 trucks come with the element already installed. I climbed up under my truck and no cord....which is no biggie....but i also dont see a plug up above the starter either.....
