460 Forged Crank
Does anyone know where I can get a Forged crank for a 460?? Does PAW or somebody like that sell them? I dont know how far I want to trust an original factory crank on a build up. Thanks

The cheapest 'new' crank is something like Scat or eagle cast steel. A forged crank will set you back $1600 to over $2000.

From my experiance a 3Y cast crank when properly set up will handle 700-800 HP. I spun mine to 7,600 RPM on a regular basis (drag-car) even went to 7,800 on occasion. I did break a 2Y off-set ground crank...2Y's have the large holes in the rod journal areas which makes them weaker. Deen
