Since buying late August, I've done:
New plugs, rotor, dist cap
New MAP sensor Seafoamed and changed oil and filter twice new fuel filter, new air filter replaced missing fuses and got back my dome, map, and cargo lights (new bulbs too) replaced missing fuse and regained cruise control and horn new window regulators and motors replaced missing trim passenger side new reflector and FORD sign on tailgate replaced broken tailgate handle, lubed mechanism bought tailgate access panel from junkyard and reinstalled (old one missing) got a OE jack to replace missing one new manual front hubs flushed brake fluid, replaced one line new radiator hoses replaced leaking freeze plug on engine new wiper blades, and rain-ex'd the windows
To do for now: install replacement steering column--old one is broken from someone hoisting themselves into truck by it install gauge cluster with tach that I bought install nicer stock sunvisors I bought fix wiring mess from previous aftermarket install and install stock radio (I have one from junkyard) new exhaust manifold passenger side (old one has large crack) new radiator--old one has a small leak get AC fixed Install diamond plate top of tailgate protector. It had one when bought but was beat up and ugly. New one on order. polish hazy headlights replace tail light lenses Trans filter replace and replace whatever fluid needed from just that replace vent window passenger side--has plexiglass in there now. I have the glass already
Truck is a lot of fun--I'm enjoying it. Engine is fairly tired though and does have some mean blow by. I'll live with that for now I guess. This truck seems like it was kept pretty nice for a long time, and then someone else got it and beat the hell out of it--Super crappy and/or non existent maintenance, etc. The oil and air filter were shockingly filthy. They broke the steering column, lost the jack, lost the tailgate access panel, replaced the broken vent window with plexiglass, hacked the wiring up badly to put in some crappy aftermarket deck, broke the glove compartment latch. The guy I got it from had it a year and it mostly sat--don't think he did much good or bad to it.
Very nice truck. I really like the two tone. Congratulations on getting it fixed up. Looks like you might check your body mounts to level the cab to the bed.
94 f150 off road edition. 4.88 gears, locked front diff, 4340 chromoly axles, Yukon duragrip posi in the back 38.5 tires, 5.8w auto, power everything, 2” body 6” suspension lift. 11000lb winch.
Nice looking truck. I'm needing a new front bumber too. Guess I can start looking for an 08.
I have a 94 extended cab that my son just toasted the front bumper...is there any modifications needed to install that 08 bumper or will it bolt up to the existing brackets?
