It's the ZF5-47 transmission out of a 96 F350. I was figuring the tube was hollow up to a plug on top of the tube. I'll have to brave it one day and see if I can give it the 25° to 30° bend it will need. I'll keep you in mind if I screw it up..thanks.

Same as in my dually. Easy to rebuild.

I have never cut down super far, just about 3" down. Where are you planning to make the bend?

About an inch above the flared section. If I were to leave it as is I think I'd skinning my knuckles on the wheel. I'm not quite at the time to install the column yet figuring it would be easier to do all the necessary wiring under the dash then install the brake and clutch pedals followed by the column..by the way I'm old and slow...lol
