You worded it much more eloquently then I will.

That fuse box looks like something I could make with a breadboard from Radio Shack.

That's because...

Ford offered two different A/C Heater systems.

You have the optional Ford nomenclature = "Hi-Lo Comfort Vent System."

Ah, thats why I've never seen it before. As for the wiring harness, just call Centech. They only sell one kit for Fords, the K40F, but make it to your specs.

I used the generic painless 12 circuit fuse box and wired the rest myself.

When you have the cover on the fuse box, it doesn't look that bad. Anyway, very easy to wire and better to have new wiring than 30 year old stuff. I chose Centech because I ordered all my switches and the connectors all premade with all Ford connectors.

do they use all focatory ford switches? and stuff like voltage regulators or do you have to reuse the old connectors? i noticed when i was looking at teh centech kit that the harness for the wipers/washers is seperate, does it have the correct ford connector? so i can reuse my delay wipers?

fuse box

i rewired my 65 truck with painless wiring i just mounted the box right back in the stock location makes it simple to get to it in case of emergency and keeps from getting hot you may have that problem if you mount it behind that vent or may even get moisture on it my 76 truck did have a slide vent on the drivers side kick panel and had no a/c
