By the way, took my truck to the dealer today and they replaced the CPS without a letter from Ford, just took in a copy of what I printed off from Ford's website showing that my recall had not been done yet. Took about an hour, but no big deal, I was starting to experience some of the symptons noted above. I'm going to post a question soon about an oil leak they found and stated it's the oil cooler, please look for that post soon.
I still don't get it, I know, I'm the slow learner, I rode the short bus to computer school. Plus I using a notebook with numbers across the top if that matters.
Sorry, don't mean to hijack the CPS thread. (On topic content: The Service Manager liked my truck when I took it in for the warranty work.)
Barry, keep the alt key pressed down when you go through the numbers.
I did try it and my computer must be broke. Don't work and I don't know what I am doing, but it would be cool if I figure that out.
Won't work on a laptop, but on a desktop you have to have the number lock engaged and hold the alt key down while you enter the numbers. There are all kinds of neat things you can do with the alt key that most peep's are not even aware of.
I took mine in and got it replaced, no letter. Just called in the VIN#. And hey guys, whatever happened with the guy who started this can't be too big of a deal. Surely just an arguement. At least we haven't seen any posts like "traded my powerstroke in for a ridgeline". Remember that guy? HA! Or was that only in the super duty/ heavy duty forum?
No letter here....Saw the announcement ( the recall) on the front page of the newspaper a few weeks ago...However, Found out about the recall on this forum first.
Have not replaced mine yet...When Ido will probably just buy it from the dealer and do it myself
No letter. I tried to look up the recall under the search engine at the to of the page but nothing was listed. Do you have to go to Ford website and enter the VIN?

I did go to the Ford site to check if my truck fell in the category. I entered my VIN and it did. I scheduled on my own for the replacement but the letter was probably generated from my VIN entry.
