I called and made my appointment two weeks ago from reading the posts on this forum and got my letter last Friday. My appointment was for this past Monday. Went in and an hour or so later I was out. No paperwork to do on my part. But then my hub bearings went out. Coincidence?
if i may ask....whats with the red box up in the right hand corner???
He must've peeved somebody off in the last 92 posts and they gave him neg. rep points (not enough positive to offset). Not that it's a bad thing...I **** people off every day.
Is it really worth bringing my truck into the stealer to get a new CPS?! I so dont trust any dealer around here - in plain English they are so desperate for business and i have heard of some VERY questionable problems when the vehicle had gotten done with simple repairs or oil changes. i know it sounds like im paranoid but i honestly cant afford them screwing with my truck that runs great already. No letter yet either
When I put my mouse over it it say He need to improve his reputation
I thought you were just kidding. That's what it really says....I don't know to laugh or not. Makes me want to search all of his posts to see what went wrong. Back on topic, on the recall I went online, entered my VIN and printed the results. When I decide I feel like trusting one of these stealerships I will take the truck and the printed results. I already replaced it once myself back when they were nearly a hundred bucks and I don't want them keeping that one.
I dont trust the dealer either, it cost me $25 today for a new grey cps. Do yourself a favor and buy one as a spare, keep it in your truck along with the necessary tools to replace the cps when it goes out.
Doubt any of us in the know will wait on the letter. I plan on doing it as soon as time permits. On another note, I don't like seeing that red box, curiosity took over and I glanced at his post and saw nothing to warrant a bad rep. Could be simple mistake. I know it can be done as I have done it. So I will be the first to help rid him of the red box. Points to you.
I agree with cobra i'am going to get a grey one and put in glove box my truck is 03 maybe it has a grey one going to check. They only replace if it is a black one. OO! by the way guy's red box in corner is from being a bad boy, a little disagreement with medeator or is that meatyeater only kidding. You guy's and gal's are great to chat with and very knowledgeable.

Barry, you searched all 92 posts? I am the one member here that for sure has nothing better to do, and I did not do it. So if it is a mistake, is should disappear in a hurry.
