Thanx Tim as usual it runs faster now. LOL
Thanx for mentioning that bit about the condensor brackets I would've missed that. Hopefully I can install mine this spring. I have alot going on in my life now.
Thanx duck. I will use those also when I do mine. i like the lower mount you used. As you can tell I am racking my brain trying to make my mount where I am happy with it. All of this info is helpful. I think this type of background work will make my job alot easier. Much Appreciated.
some of the racing supply places have 3" mandrel bent turbing that you can buy to build your pipes and they have bead rolled ends you can weld on. i ended up building mine out of aluminum and rollin the beads so i could make them as short as possible. i ended up having to work on teh inner fenders some but i was able to shorten the pipes up some that way.
Thanks guys. I have a better feeling what / how things need to be done.
Looking through the Bay, found what looks to be a homemade IC kit someone is selling. Looks to me they fabbed a pipe hooked to the turbo running to the IC and back to the old style y pipe which was moded some. check it out - http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...208195448&rd=1
That is a hypermax intercooler kit. Decent kit if it goes cheap enough. I like the SD coolers and piping better though. Not much for the way hypermax routed the pips but with their set-up there is no need to cut the core support.
Yes the condenser brackets were removed and flattened then used a new hole in the bracket to attach it. The tranny cooler is mounted using push thru zip tie type things thru the IC core with a cushion between the IC and Trans cooler.
Thanks Tim, and also to Rubber because I saw that brackets in his gallery.
