But thick oil also seals worn pumps. Think IPR o-ring. Cold start, hot no start. I think this is the common cold weather romp though. Either plug it in, live with it, or get thinner oil.

well, its the fuel heater. the sorder points are broke. my old man told me that the reason it wouldnt start good was running it on 90 hp all the time. said i had prolly melted something lol. now he says i probably got it hot enough from being turned up to melt those sorder points. he aint very realistic. hes mad cause my old truck wil run with his new one he just traded for. lol.

Do a search of fuel heater. Remove the fuel filter and standpipe (LH threads) and get that broken heater out of there. Unplug it on the inside. Check your fuses, if the heater shorts out, it won't start. Everyone here says you don't need that heater.

Or you can upgrade it, if you REALLY need it.

My truck's fuel heat was gutted when I bought it. I have not had any problems with the cold weather (live in western KY about 3 hours west of Bowlin Green). 2 Stroke and I have very similar weather.

A bad HPOP was mentioned. I am like TJ. A bad pump would cause far more trouble when hot than cold.

The LPOP is located behind the harmonic balancer. Looks like the factory oil pressure gauge would tell if this was the problem.

I dont have any new ideas what the problem is.......
