O K, starting prob not fixed

I would pay attention to what your error code is telling you. Maybe cold is causing poor connection to CPS? I think I would unplug/plug CPS a few times and try to get a better connection when symptons are occuring. Hard to believe with new oil 35 - 25 degrees would cause that much of a change in startup, assuming GP's are working. Sure sounds like a connection problem to me.

Code can be from extended cranking....

Action: thanks for the info .. , as I will arcive that one. New to diesels but have been slapped in the wallet a few times not paying attention to error codes. Oh well, guess we will see what the solution is.

could it be due to weak HPOP and that few degrees making that big of a diff? i kinda hope weak hpop been lookin for an excuse to go big!

I would lean towards the LPOP,,, at cold start...Did you change the Oil?...

weak pumps will present themselves more when hot rather than cold.

The lpop is what supplies the HPOP .. Cold thick oil is harder to move ..

Thinner lighter oil has less trouble gettin where it belongs,,,,,,
