Yeah I really can't say with an oil leak. It sounded as though Kris had a bad one too. I know as most of us here that when you change an oil pump, until you drive it awhile too get the air out they sound pretty bad. Hopefully his injectors are Ok though. I guess we'll find out in acouple of weeks after he changes out to the BO. Good luck with that Kris. Country
When BTS installed my BI system, I told them that starting was hard. Drive it for a bit they said. WTF?? Well, after I did, (drove from Lead Hill back to Branson) I noticed that the starting was getting better. Next day, I drove it home. By the time I got home, not only better but way, way better. I think they said something about burping the system or something close to that.
Maybe with the air in the system it is making funny noises. However, I didn't notice it any noiser than when it first started. It sounded a little rough for the first couple miles when I drove it with Cale.
Right, exactly what I've experienced. But I'm runnig single shot's too. Don't know if that would make the difference, but mine was very loud. It did quite down after about 100 mile though well as quite as you can get singles to run anyhow, HAH HAH. Take guys. Country

Guys, consult your tuner, since we all us the same guy!

Oops, sorry! I was referring to the other two guys!
Cale is also a good tuner!
Supposedly Cale is a good tuner. Never tried his stuff so I don't really know first hand. I have been driven in his truck and it does seem good. IIRC, he isn't using the F5 system but the old dial switches. Not sure.
So you run your truck with just something like a +380hp tune?
0 - Stock incase something goes wrong, it has a runnable default
1 - Stock because of (2)
2 - High Idle
3 - 40 HP Tow for higher altitudes
4 - 60 HP Tow for lower altitudes
5 - 80 HP Econo because I like the responsiveness and shifting
Thinking of getting something for the smoke effect. You see, these tunes were for big oil. Before I had it installed, they would smoke when I hit it. Now the smoke is way less. However, I want to smoke people at times so, I might just git r done.
Let’s start from the beginning; Kris experienced an oil leak with his TE system. Upon contacting TE I requested he send his system to our east coast tech for service. The system was disassembled and inspected for the cause of the leak. During the inspection process the only issue that could be found was damage to the sealing rings and paint that had made its way between the coupling block and pump. The system was assembled with new sealing rings and sent back to the customer.
At this point all problems should have been behind us, however when the system was installed it began to leak in a short time frame. After Kris informed me of the current situation I suggested he send the system to me for further investigation. Upon receiving the system I disassembled the unit and found no physical damage or flaws. However I noticed severe degradation of the sealing rings (not damage), at this point I felt as if the sealing ring was substandard. I took the sealing ring in question to the local hydraulic shop which has a resident fluid engineer on staff. He noticed very quickly the rings I had were 70 durometer not the 90 durometer he had previously specified for our system. After speaking with our east coast tech, and checking the sealing rings that were purchased we were able to discover that a portion of the rings were 70 durometer and a portion were 90 durometer.
The system has been inspected, assembled with the correct sealing rings. Terminator Engineering is committed to having satisfied customers, whether Kris would prefer a refund or the pumps returned.
As you already know all TE high pressure oil systems are assembled by me and shipped as a complete unit. The reason for this is not trade secrets; it is imperative that the system is assembled and fixtures tightened in a certain order. This will alleviate leaks and alignment issues that can arise. Again this procedure is imperative. The pump system in question had been disassembled in part to facilitate the painting of the system. In doing so the correct procedure was not executed for re-installation and this was the cause for the initial leak. If the need arises to remove or disassemble the system I would appreciate a call or an email so I may assist you in this procedure.
