If you want to go to a 4.6/5.4 it1s best to get a parts truck. Most likely everything from the mounts, exhaust, rad, computer, wiring etc will be totally different.
It would be faster and cheaper just to replace or fix what you have rather than cross the Ford generation lines.

thats why i said even getting a whole mustang would have most of what he'd need...

maybe even use the stang dif. actually with the stang, all i think you'd need to make would be the motor mounts, and either rad mounts, or custom hoses

It would be neat to get something different and not go too much overboard. Now a days a guy can get a 4.6 liter donor vehicle for a decent price too.

True enough Sherm, that would be the way to go with a parts vehicle.
