i'd be very worried about your car if it couldn't!! honestly i didn't expect the 300 to outrun a V8. even if it was a chebby.

Try that against a 350 and the outcome would be different! 305s are garbage though.

lol...i was happy to beat a 305...lets not get too foolish. i'll put the 300 up to a load against the 350 any day though. set them to tow the same thing at 90k and see who fares the best!!

I think you might lose against a 350 load to load! A 350 is a different class of engine though, put it up against a 351 load for load!

ya never know... i'm still a big fan of the 300 I6. i also am really happy with this little modular... does what i ask it too, which isn't much most of the time...

You should put it up to the test sometime. I put my 97 up to the test a few times and it performed really well. I wouldnt hesitate to buy another one, IF I had use for it!


I wonder how hard it would be to put a 4.6 into that shortbox I have...

there may come a day that it'll earn its keep...

the 4.6 swap has been done, mostly fabbing mounts is the hardest part i think.

I should look into it abit more, theres a stang with a 4.6 on sgi right now...


Now my hotel room is filling up with smoke from me thinking!

It would be cool for sure, might even be around the same cost as getting teh damn 302 rebuilt.
