Random E4OD limp mode

Today on the way to work my trans started shifting hard about 1/4 mile from home. I was still kinda tired and didn't think much of it untill I realised the OD cancel light was flashing Then I relised I was in limp mode so I pulled over to call in to work because a trans rebuild cost way more than I make in a day and I had about 15 miles to go. But I decised to start the truck back up and see what hapened And every thing was fine. I'm gona check to see if the wires from the vss or tach are shorting to anything in the morning But was woundering if there were anything els I should check? Thanks.

The FIPL/TPS may be part of the problem too..it tells trans when to shift relevant to excellerator position.........

If your OD light is flashing, and hard shifting your computer has probably stored a slip related falt code, so you should get that scanned first.

Thanks guys I'll check that stuff tomarow by the way what dose FIPL stand for any way just curious.

Fuel injection pump lever sensor......... the thing on the drivers side of the IP with an electrical connection....... Click on my name and email me I will forward more info/pics.
