Limp mode 4eod
Ok i put a new to me transmission in my 1996 f250 5.8 351w with e40d trans. First voyage out went great 10 miles stayed under 40 no problems. Second trip was longer went about 40 miles at highway speeds. 20 miles in i came to a stop and went into limp mode. Hard shifting 1-2 and 2-3 od light blinking pulled codes found a bad speed sensor. Old tranny was having this same issue plus no reverse and finally pump seal went causing me to swap it. So i have changed rhe speed sensor but cant get it out of limp mode. Tried clearing codes with my scanner and disconnected the battery positive cable for half hour.???
