F10JK566568 114 M F100 481 F 12
5000 114 3600 64
J = 223 I-6 1V
K = Kansas City Missouri Assembly Plant
566568 = 1964
114 = 114" Wheelbase
M = Wimbledon White
F100 = F100 2WD / 5,000 lbs. GVWR = Gross Vehicle Weight Rating.
481: 4 = Light Beige Crush Vinyl & Light Beige Rib Vinyl / 81 = 81A Standard Cab.
F = Borg-Warner T-98 4 Speed
12 = Ford 9 Inch Rear Axle / 3.89-1 / Non Limited Slip / 3,300 lb. Rear Axle Capacity
5000 = 5,000 lbs. GVWR
114 HP @ 3600 RPM
64 = New Orleans Ford District Sales Zone = Where the original selling dealer ordered the truck from.
================================================== ===
Color Code M: Corinthian White used 1960-1963 / Wimbledon White used 1964/ (into the 1990's).
(1956/59, the color code for Corinthian White was E.. In 1955 E was the color code for Snowshoe White.)*
It's not GVW...but GVWR = Gross Vehicle Weight RATING.
What Ford says is the maximum weight the truck can safely carry. The weight of the truck, driver, any passengers and cargo should not exceed 5,000 lbs.
*Trivia: There were no Ford trucks painted white till 1955, and no FoMoCo cars were painted white till 1952. Problems mixing the pigment was the reason.
This was not only true for Ford, but for all the auto manufacturers. The only vehicles painted white prior to the 1950's were some Custom bodied cars (Packard/Cadillac/Lincoln/Duesenberg etc.) made in the 1930's, and a few Professional Cars = mostly Ambulances and Flower Cars.
