As far as I know, LMC magazine can get you a power steering unit for this truck. I can get one for my '62. Why would you want to go to disc brakes? Drums offer more contact area.....Why auto tranny?

There are dozens of FTE sponsors that sell new/used and reproduction parts for your Ford trucks, and 20 of them sponsor this forum. = Look on this page for, among others: Blue Oval Truck Parts; MAR-K; Mike's Truck Salvage; Green Sales; Auto-Krafters; National Parts Depot and Mac's Antique Auto Parts. Excepting Green Sales and Mike's, all the others offer free catalogs.

CAVEAT EMPTOR: lmc sells a lot of Chinese made crappola, and is not an FTE sponsor.

Drums are not in the same class as discs especially on 4x4s where you get them wet.

never played with 4x4 on the slicks but I am thinking you will have to do some fab work for power steering. a c6 from later fe motors will bolt to your motor these are easy to find and cheap to rebuid. may be easier to find a 70's frame and gear change body I hear on here the cab is a bolt on the holes are in your cab to bolt the power brake setup on.

A 65 F100 four wheel drive will not bolt on to a 65 up 2 wheel drive frame. 65 four wheel drives still used the early 61 to 64 cabs.

The 65 F100 shared the same frame as a 59 to 65 F100 Factory four wheel drive. Yes they can be modified to work on a later frame by adding a more rearward front cab mount to the frame.

1966 F100 four wheel drives share the 65 66 2 wheel drive cabs.

The only bolt on power steering is a push pull hydraulic type that ford offered for the straight axle trucks. The 65 F100 4x4 used the Gemmer integral shaft box. A popular swap is a mid eighties toyota box and custom Pittman arm, with your steering collum and shaft modified to fit. It takes fabrication skills to do this swap or a hefty wallet to pay some one to do it.

No disc brake swaps are currently offered for the pre 66 F100s five lug front closed knuckle axle. There is a swap kit offered for the eight lug danas.

A C6 truck trans short tail shaft with bolt on yolk is needed behind the FE as the Tcase in 65 is still divorced from the trans. A long shaft car or later truck trans with a slip shaft will fit, but require a custom fabricated really short propeller shaft.

That means that the power brake booster wont be a bolt on either if they used 64 cabs is this right.

I've learned (and experienced) since being here that other REAL companies like Dennis Carpenter for example kicks the ***** out of LMC!
