Contemplating a V10
I can buy a brand new factory fresh, my color choice, '08 F-350XL, 4X4, V-10, 6 spd, chrome bumper, snow plow pkg, heavy tow pkg, 18"AT rubber, split bench seat with center counsoul armrest, ac, ps, bed liner...This is NOT a stripped down pick-up! Ok it ain't no King Ranch, but look at the options I specked. Believe me It would be a real towing monster. A locomotive on rubber. I know, my '05 is just like it and is a bad boy for sure. Just doesn't have all that chrome on the front grill and the turn lights above the headlights the -08's have which I have fallen for.
OTD CASH price of $25,000 (less sales tax) with all the rebates Ford is offering right now. Now is a great time to order a '08 SD, but like I found out the dealers are he-ll on trade in values. Too bad, as I'd have a new one even though I really don't need it (mine only has 25k miles), but I am not going to let mine go for $14k.
Good luck to ya! and don't forget everyone has an opinion, and that don't make no one right. Bottom line is you are the judge and jury in any purchase such as this.

I'd keep your truck man, I wouldn't take a big hit in the wallet just for a truck a tad newer than what you have.
